As the approach used by the project to reach the targeted key and priority populations is the peer education, RDO in close collaboration with the districts of project implementation in the Kigali city, i.e. Gasabo, Kicukiro and Nyarugenge, a meeting was organized in each district to introduce the project to different stakeholders and so involve them in the identification of peer educators adolescent girls and young women in and out of school. The meetings brought together district officials in charge of health and education, in charge of social affairs at sector level, representatives from secondary schools, anti-SIDA clubs and health centers.

In this regard, adolescent girls and young women identified to become peer educators in school and out of school were female individulals who are known opinion leaders among their peers at school and mostly in anti- Sida clubs operating in sectors and cells. There are also potential peer educators who were drawn from other clubs in the targeted districts such as Unity and Reconciliation, Conflict management and Gender based violence, Sports clubs, etc.
