The technical staff of Rwanda Development Organisation (RDO) working in the different projects across the country on Friday met at Grand Legacy Hotel in Kigali to discuss ongoing project implementation and way forward.
“We are holding this technical meeting so that we can take stock of what has been done and plan for the future,” said Eugene Rwibasira, the Executive Secretary of RDO while officially opening the one day meeting.
Meeting all staff for the first time since the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic which led to government imposing a lockdown to curb the spread of the disease, the Executive Secretary reminded the staff to continue respecting preventive measures as a way to guard against coronavirus.
He encourage everyone to wear a facemask and regularly wash their hands as well as other measures to curb the spread of the disease.
The meeting discussed different projects while evaluating plans that the last meeting had tasked for implementation and provided more guidelines on activities that needed to be followed up.
During discussions the meeting heard calls for adopting projects that responsive to the challenges brought by Covid-19 because many beneficiaries were facing difficulties in their daily lives.
Among suggested responses was to undertake digital mechanisms in providing sustainable solutions to farmers.
The meeting recommended that the staff continue to work hard applying different skills while thinking of innovative ways to deliver solutions to beneficiary communities.
